MDO is an outreach for Holladay Baptist Church and is open to anyone in the community. Mother’s Day Out strives to be an extension of Christ’s love to families who may be looking for help and support in a safe environment for their children.
Our goal is to show God’s love in terms preschoolers can understand. We strive to meet the needs of our children through physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual activities that build a positive foundation in the lives of the children.
To our parents, this ministry is designed to serve as a support to families raising young children. In today’s society, where the extended family often lives in distant communities, the Mother’s Day Out ministry has the opportunity to assist families by providing quality childcare.
Our teaching goals are for the children to grow in understanding and love for themselves, their families and others in the awareness that God loves them and that Jesus is a special friend. Our learning activities provide opportunities for children to make decisions, think, make connections, solve problems, and develop language skills. Children will learn creative expression in ways such as music, art and play.
Hours of Operation
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am-2:00pm. We operate on a similar schedule to local school districts. Session will not be scheduled during school holidays or vacations. If school is closed or delayed due to the weather, we will be closed for the day. The Director reserves the right to cancel due to inclement weather.
Enrollment Policies
Children are enrolled as REGULAR MEMBERS for the school year. MDO meets each Tuesday and Thursday. Children may be scheduled for either Tuesday or Thursday or for both days. This means that you are planning for your child to attend every session for which they are enrolled. MDO follows the state teacher/student ratio guidelines. When the class list has reached the maximum limit, a waiting list will be established and you will be notified when a vacancy becomes available.
Fees
At the time of registration, there will be a nonrefundable fee of $50.00 per child. This is used for equipment, curriculum and supplies. The tuition will range for $25.00 to $30.00 depending o n the age of your child. The month’s tuition will be due between the 1st and 15th of each month. You are paying for the space reserved, not the child’s attendance. If there is a need for financial assistance, please feel free to discuss with the Director.
